Podría decir que el barrio del Raval de Barcelona es uno de los mas coloristas del distrito de Ciutat vella.
En este barrio puedes ver gente de cualquier lugar del mundo, aunque  destaca de esta riqueza cultural sobre todo la comunidad pakistaní y del norte de Africa.
La parte baja del Raval es conocida principalmente como el barrio chino , que durante mucho tiempo fue un barrio bajo muy cerca del centro de Barcelona y decadente en muchos sentidos. Todavía hoy en día sigue siéndolo
El raval de Barcelona sufrió una gran renovación hace más de una década, a final de los 90,  lo que le dio una inyección de luz y toque bohemia que hoy en día atrae a mucha gente a descubrir este entorno multicultural.
La inauguración de las facultades de Filosofía e Historia de la universidad de Barcelona , las nuevas viviendas construídas, la inauguración de la galería de Arte contemporáneo Macba y el centro cultural CCCb han dado un aire fresco y nuevo al barrio,convirtiéndolo en punto de reunión de artistas y bares alternativos

Los turistas han contribuído al desarrollo de este barrio descubriendo con miradas nuevas los secretos y encantos de este barrio poco valorado en el pasado.

Un sitio que me encanta visitar en Barcelona y uno de los símbolos más importantes de Barcelona donde la naturaleza y la arquitectura se mezclan de manera sorprendente es el Parque Guell.

   El parque Güell de Barcelona es todo un regalo de imaginación y paisaje alucinante. Cuando estás allí, este parque que nació como proyecto de ciudad jardín en el barrio de Gracia de Barcelona, te seduce con sus formas naturales y artificiales mezcladas con una imaginación desbordante como la que tenía Gaudí

Debe su nombre a Eusebio Güell, que compró por el año 1900 una finca en las afueras de Barcelona y contrató a Gaudí para que crera una ciudad jardín para la alta sociedad de Barcelona.
Desafortunadamente el proyecto no funcionó comercialmente y se abandonó en 1914. Años mas tarde en 1922 Barcelona compró la finca para convertirla en parque público.

Gaudí se inspiró en las formas de la naturaleza y dotó al parque de una impresionante creación ornamental en la que no existen ni la rigidez ni el clasicismo. Todas las sinuosas y coloridas formas de los elementos del parque están llenas de un gran simbolismo, tanto religioso como político.

La imaginación de Gaudí era  desbordantey se hace patente en los muchos elementos que hoy sorprenden a visitantes de todo el mundo que visitan  Barcelona.

 Los pabellones de entrada al recinto, inicialmente destinados a conserjería, acogen actualmente el Centro de Interpretación del Park Güell. La escalinata, con el famoso dragón de cerámica de colores, da acceso a la sala hipóstila, un espacio impresionante de 86 columnas que soporta el peso de la gran plaza que hay encima. El banco ondulado que sigue el perímetro de la plaza es obra de Jujol, uno de los colaboradores de Gaudí en la construcción de este parque único en la antigua villa de Gràcia, que ha sido declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad

 The park Güell in Barcelona is a gift of imagination and unusual landscape.When you're there, this park was born as a project of garden city in the neighborhood of Gracia quarter in Barcelona. The gatehouses, originally designed as the caretaker’s house, are now home to the Park Güell Interpretation Centre. In fact he live in one of this houses for a period of time

The flight of steps, with its famous dragon covered in coloured broken-ceramic pieces, leads to the hypostyle hall, an impressive space comprising 86 columns which underpins the plaza above.Everything there is like being in another world, a world of phantasy and joy for the eyes. The curving bench around the perimeter of the plaza was designed by Jujol, one of Gaudí’s associates in the construction of this unique park in the old village of Gràcia which has been declared lately  a World Heritage Site.

Ahora visitamos el Barrio Gótico, se podría decir que es el corazón de Barcelona. La ciudad medieval se construyó sobre el núcleo de lo que fue la Barcino Romana. Con el paso del tiempo se fué extendiendo por toda la ciudad.

El Barrio Gótico de Barcelona como centro de la antigua ciudad romana, es el punto donde se cruzan hoy en día las calles Bisbe y LLibretería, antiguamente conocidas como Cardo y Decumeno

En este auténtico laberinto de calles estrechas y plazas pequeñas descubiertas casualmente cuando caminas, puedes encontrarte todo tipo de sorpresas: pequeños restaurantes, tiendas de cualquier cosa que puedas imaginar,cafeterías,bares.

Aquí puedes ver iglesias góticas como Santa María del Pi, la catedral de Barcelona, Los palacios del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona y la Generalitat,el antiguo barrio judío con calles pequeñas formando un laberinto donde se mezcla el pasado y el presente.

Una de las mejores formas de llegar al Barrio Gótico de Barcelona es desde las Ramblas, subir por la calle Ferran,calle que se abrió a principios del siglo XIX. Cerca de aquí están las columnas que quedan del templo romano de la ciudad. Barcelona tiene mas de 2000 años de historia.

En la plaza del Rey nos encontramos con el pasado de lo que fue la corona del Reino de Aragón y bajo esta plaza encontramos restos arqueológicos de la antigua Barcelona Romana.

El barrio gótico tiene 1000 y unas cosas para enseñarte. No puedo olvidarme de decirte que el Barrio Gótico tiene muchos pasajes de el famoso libro "La sombra del viento" de Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

EL PALAU DE LA MUSICA DE BARCELONA/ THE PALAU OF MUSICA OF BARCELONA

                                            
El Palau de la Música Catalana de Barcelona conocido como uno de los palacios mas modernistas del mundo,  contrariamente a lo que se piensa, no es obra de Gaudí, sino de su de Lluís Domènech i Montaner (Barcelona, 1850-1923). Esta sala de conciertos de Barcelona fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, es un monumento artístico de una belleza excepcional y, al mismo tiempo, un escenario musical de primera orden.




  En únicamente 3 años (1905-1908) Barcelona consiguió levantar uno de sus edificios más emblemáticos: el Palau de la Música de Barcelona.

 Su construcción fue impulsada por una sociedad coral popular, l'Orfeó Català, y encargada al arquitecto y político Domènech i Montaner. Éste contó con un grupo de colaboradores de primera fila , como Pau Gargallo y Eusebi Arnau para los grupos escultóricos interiores, Antoni Rigalt para las vidrieras, Lluís Bru para los mosaicos y Miquel Blai para el grupo escultórico "La Cançó" (La Canción), situado en la esquina exterior del edificio. El arquitecto, siguiendo un estilo modernista, ideó una revolucionaria estructura de hierro que permite emplear paredes de cristal para dejar pasar la luz. Los motivos florales convierten el interior de la sala de conciertos en una auténtica fiesta visual, haciendo que el Palau de la Música Catalana de Barcelona se nos convierta en una especie de invernadero frondoso de plantas y flores.

                                                     

 The  Palau de la Música Catalana of Barcelona, one of the main sings of  Catalan art nouveau” wasn’t designed by Gaudí, but by his contemporary Lluís Domènech i Montaner (Barcelona, 1850-1923). This concert hall in Barcelona, which is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an artistic landmark of outstanding  and amazing beauty and a highly prestigious music venue.

Barcelona built one of its most magnificent buildings – the Palau de la Música Catalana – in just under three years, from 1905 to 1908. It was built at the behest of the choral society, the Orfeó Català, and commissioned from the architect and politician Domènech i Montaner. His team of associates included some of the foremost artists of the age, including Pau Gargallo and Eusebi Arnau, who created the sculptures, Antoni Rigalt who made the stained glass, Lluís Bru, who designed the mosaics, and Miquel Blai, who carved the sculptural group La Cançó (Song), on the corner of the building

 The architect, in a modernista style, designed an innovative iron structure,really amazing for the epoque which made it possible to incorporate glass walls to allow more light inside the building. The floral motifs make the interior of the auditorium something amazing for the eyes , giving the Palau de la Música Catalana of Barcelona the appearance of a greenhouse with lush plants and flowers.A wonderfull world of imagination.
