La Casa Batlló, también conocida como la Pedrera,es la obra mas emblemática del genial arquitecto Antonio Gaudí ( el mismo arquitecto que diseñó la sagrada familia).  Fue construida entre 1904 y 1906 en el corazón de la ciudad. Gaudí dotó a la Casa Batlló de una fachada original, fantástica y llena de imaginación. Sustituyó la antigua fachada por un nuevo conjunto de piedra y cristal. Mandó repicar los muros exteriores para darle la forma ondulada, que luego revocó con mortero de cal y recubrió con discos de cerámica y vidrios de colores.
La fachada de cerámica salpicada de verdes,malvas y azules y ventanas con marcos en forma de ola se eleva hasta un ejado irregular de cerámica azul con una torre solitaria.
La casa Batlló de Barcelona, es una de las mayores obras modernistas de Gaudí en Barcelona.
